Boreholes and Wells

The development of boreholes and wells within the Siana community will ensure a reliable and safe source of water. This will minimize the need for community members, particularly women, to venture into wildlife-dense areas for water collection, reducing the risk of human-wildlife encounters.

Water pans, bore holes and rain harvesting process tanks

Strategically placed water pans, located away from high wildlife activity areas, will provide a safe water source for livestock. This will deter animals from straying into dangerous zones in search of water, mitigating the risk of conflict.

Shared Resource Management

Collaborative efforts with nearby conservancies will focus on managing shared water resources, ensuring equitable access for both livestock and wildlife. Agreements on water usage and conflict resolution mechanisms will be established to foster harmonious resource sharing.
